Design Snacks Series | Mapping a User’s Journey

Have you ever wondered, “was this really designed for me?” Join Yvonne Lin, founder of 4B Collective and Femme Den, to explore how designers might better understand their users. Participants will be introduced to journey mapping, a tool used by designers to shed light on a user’s experience. Throughout the session, participants will enhance their design literacy skills and build a network with other participants who are interested in exploring innovative tools to use in their own practices, classrooms, or organizations.

No prior experience in design required. Recommended for ages 16+. 

Yvonne Lin is a designer and an expert at considering gender in developing compelling and functional solutions to complex design problems. Lin is a founder of 4B Collective and the Femme Den. She has designed numerous award–winning and best-selling products, messages, and services for clients such as Nike, Under Armour, Lego, Hasbro, Proctor & Gamble, Pepsi, Nissan, and American Express. She is the inventor on more than 20 patents and was named a Master of Design by Fast Company. In addition, she shares her knowledge by writing for Fast Company and teaching at Parsons School of Design. Previously, she was an Associate Director at Smart Design. She also spends a lot of time skiing, cooking, and dressing up her small kids in a variety of unwieldy and fuzzy outfits.

Build your design toolkit! Design Snacks is a series of hands-on workshops exploring techniques and strategies for participants to incorporate into their own practices, classrooms, or organizations.
