About this event
The Museum, Arts and Culture Access Consortium (MAC)’s Supporting Transition project is hosting a series on Inclusive and Accessible Cultural Employment through the month of July. The series will consist of events for:
- Employees at cultural organizations who wish to examine their employment practices to be anti-ableist, accessible, and inclusive.
- Job seekers who wish to move their career in the cultural field forward.
- Service providers who support job seekers with disabilities who wish to connect with more cultural organizations and share their work with those in the cultural field.
While the Supporting Transitions project focuses on creating opportunities for adults with autism and other developmental and intellectual disabilities, we believe in cross-disability solidarity and a cohesive, collaborative disability community.
All parts of the series will be captioned. The opening panel will have CART. The workshops will have automatic captions via zoom. The networking event will have automatic captions in the main room and CART in breakout rooms. The opening panel will have ASL Interpretation. ASL Interpretation is available for any other portions of the series as requested. All access services are available. Please indicate your access needs on your registration form. An access guide will be sent out to all who register prior to the event and there will be a staff member available for access support during all parts of the event.

Networking Event and Closing:
Thursday, July 22nd, 5pm-6:30pm ET – Structured networking will occur 5pm-6pm and the zoom will remain open until 6:30pm for anyone who would like to stay.
Please indicate in your registration which events you wish to attend. We encourage employees at cultural organizations to attend all four cultural organization workshops and job seekers to attend both job seeker workshops.
